As we first reported yesterday, singers Chris Brown and Raz B got into a heated argument via Twitter. Both probably should have used better judgement by avoiding the public beef that was sparked by a tweet Raz made dissing Chris for how he treated Rihanna.

Today Chris is attempting to clear the air, hoping to avoid a backlash from the gay community by issuing a public apology for using homophobic slurs during the argument.

Paul Wall Gets Gastric Sleeve Surgery..Loses Over 100 Pounds Paul Wall Gets Gastric Sleeve Surgery..Loses Over 100 Pounds

According to an interview with Paul Wall in an upcoming issue of Ozone Magazine, he lost the weight through a procedure called Gastric Sleeve. Check out an excerpt from the interview below:

When did you decide to get serious about losing weight?
Honestly, when we were in Afghanistan and [reps for VH1's] Celebrity Fit Club were contacting [me] about coming on the show. That was a hell of a wake-up call. [Being fat] isn’t a secret. You can look in the mirror and try to hide it and cover it up, and it may work here or there, but there ain’t no shirt or hat you can put on or haircut you can get to hide the fact that you’re morbidly obese. That’s what the doctor said: I was “morbidly obese.” I decided not to do [the show] but it was still a wake-up call to have people calling you saying, “Hey, you’re really, really fat.”

2010: Celebrity scandals

2010 definitely had its share of celebrity scandals. From two-timing husbands to Mel Gibson's infamous rant and that video of Miley Cyrus, we recap some of the biggest star scandals of the year.
Sandra Bullock's split
One minute Sandra Bullock was having the time of her life – she had picked up almost every award she could (including an Oscar) for her turn in The Blind Side, she was in the process of adopting a young boy from New Orleans, and she gushed at every turn about how wonderful her husband was. Until Jesse

Merry Christmas II You

Sixteen years after first venturing there, superstar singer Mariah Carey goes back into festive music territory with an album she's happy to call a "sequel" to 1994's Merry Christmas.

Of course, following up that particular album was always going to be tricky business. After all, Merry Christmas produced the Carey-penned All I Want For Christmas Is You, the instant classic that's just been voted the favourite Christmas song of both American and British music fans (as a sign of the song's reach, in America its total single sales are more than double the number two song).

Producer Bangladesh Says "6'7" Was Initially Intended For T.I Instead Of Lil Wayne. "I Know How T.I. Is, I Knew He Really Wouldn't Be Rocking This Beat Right" Do You Guys Agree?

It happens a lot in the music business. Beats sometimes get passed around to several artist before one buys it.

That’s exactly what happened with Lil Wayne’s new song “6’7” according to producer Bangladesh. We could have been sitting here talking about how T.I. ripped it on his new ‘No Mercy’ album.  Instead it dound it's way to Weezy.

View from Outside: New York

Hello good people!
As the year draws to an end, I’m still in disbelief at how this year has gone by with what feels like the blink of an eye. The end of the year also means that the holiday season and particularly Christmas are upon us.

This means lots of time spent time bonding with family and friends, plenty of love, laughter, food, and good times. As a through and through South African, the “festive season” as we know it, is always greatly anticipated by all. For us, this period is the season for friends, family, braais (barbecues), celebration and pure madness. So being away from home at this time, makes me feel somewhat homesick. Up until now, I’ve been experiencing this jolly season vicariously through my friends’ status updates on Facebook and Twitter.

David Kau’s Christmas Party: how it benefits Kroonstad +who is trying to stop it

It’s almost time for  David Kau’s annual Christmas party. The event started at his mom’s house in 2002 as a small party with about 100 people. In 2005 the event got too big for the house, it was then decided that the party would be moved to a bigger venue – Holiday Valley Guest House.

In 2005 about 800 people attended the event ( this was achieved by just word of mouth advertising). In 2006 about 1500 people attended the event (this was achieved by word of mouth marketing and circulation of flyers within Kroonstad); In 2007 about 2000 people were in attendance (same marketing concepts were used as in the previous years).

WHO ARE THE TOP 10 SEX SCANDAL COSTARS OF 2010?

You may be wondering why we've decided to give additional time to a group of non-celebrities whose media-craving clocks have essentially stopped.
Yes, it would be easy to just ignore the folks who popped up, out of nowhere, right after a celebrity sex scandal broke. But we'd also feel a little remiss if we didn't acknowledge them during our Best of 2010 blowout.

RISING STAR Nigeria’s Sasha P

Yetunde Alaba, better known as Sasha P is a hip hop artist  and a fashion designer. She started off rapping as a hobby then got a record  deal with Trybe Records in 2001. She signed to Storm 360 in 2004 and soon after become one of hip hop’s brightest stars on the continent.

The Nigerian hip hop scene is huge but there are very few female MC’s. I asked her if it had been struggle for her to get to where she was. “I wouldn’t use the word struggle, but I do believe gender has had its benefits and disadvantages, in general the female hip hop artiste has to work extra hard to be seen and that also means being really good at what you do.”

For young women who would like to pursue her line of work she has this advice “ the work NEVER stops you have to keep getting better at what you do and breaking even your own record, find out what it is you are genuinely good at and would do for free then do that thing like your last breath depended on it.”

Sarkodie Loses out on MAMA, 2Face wins Best Artist

The most anticipated MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) with Airtel came off last night at the Eko Expo Hall, Lagos with one or two surprises. One of the biggest successes in the past year, Wande Coal missed out on the honours, and there wasn’t too much Nigerian domination this year. Ghana’s only representative, Sarkodie lost the Best Anglophone nod to Daddy Owen.

However the Ghanaian rapper got the chance to shine in a mash up with Chuck D of Public Enemy fame and Nigerian female rap newcomer, Mo Cheddah. However the big winners on the night were Fally Ipupa winning Best Video and Best Francophone; and 2face winning Best Male and Best Artist.
