Lady Gaga likely to perform at Grammys

The Grammy performers haven’t been announced yet, but someone in Lady Gaga’s camp has already hinted via twitter that Gaga will return to the Grammy stage on February 13… which is incidentally the same day the first single from her highly anticipated album Born This Way drops. Can’t you just taste the synergy?

Yesterday on twitter Laurieann Gibson, who choreographed Gaga’s “Bad Romance” video, wrote, “Grammy meeting performance extrordinaire..!!! [sic] On its way…” If that wasn’t subtle enough, when a fan followed up to ask Gibson if Gaga would be performing at the 2011 awards show, she confirmed it.

While it’s going to be tough for Gaga to upstage her collaboration with Elton John at last year’s award show, the songstress has built a career on her ability to shock and surprise, so we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us this year. Hopefully she’ll leave the meat dress at home, though, because we’re finally starting to get our appetites back after seeing that thing at last year’s VMAs.
